The beautiful, miracle baby, Reese Jesse Emerson... it was fun to capture you in all your "Reese-ness". The hair, the scowl, the gorgeous blue eyes. Thank you Love for letting me practice on you with my new lens.
On my way to Saint Edwards State Park this morning I called Michele to confirm she had directions. She laughed before answering the question in an attempt to explain to me that she was already dilating (as of yesterday) and having contractions since 7:00am this morning!
She was determined. It was a beautiful (and hot!) day and we trucked all the kids with us due to the middle of the day shoot that both of us had time for... just barely.
You are a beautiful, pregnant mother of two, Michele. I loved capturing these last few moments with you...
After a couple weeks of family emergencies and unfamiliar routine in the Campbell family, I unknowingly entered their home to take photos of Brooke. It was hard to see little Brooke not as herself but instead trying rediscover the routine of old... she clung to her Mom and Dad and wanted nothing to do with the shoot at hand. My heart broke for this family as I later discovered the tragedy of the prior weeks! Although, in the midst of her uncertainty, her smile and joy in the moment broke through. Her fantastic faces of inquisitiveness and sheer wonderment at the adults around her... not to mention Collin, as himself, pleasing the photographer with every move.
What a fantastic family... thank you for having me, Campbells.
Rachel's husband, Jeremy, called me last week to see if I would have the time on Saturday morning to come take some photos of the their three girls. Rachel was away from the house and I got to come photograph the girls running around in the sunshine... these are a couple of the shots they surprised Rachel with on Sunday morning for Mothers Day.
The balloons were a plus... it kept everyone, including Baby Claire, rather engaged!
